Lacie Rose
Lacie Rose

Lacie, is a 4 year old Thoroughbred/cross, bay. Very sweet personality and long legs.Lacie was born at the rescue barn and has grown up with much love and attention from volunteers. She is now available for adoption. She is still growing and is now approx 15 hands Lacie is in excellent health and has been such a joy to watch grow up.It is now time that we let her go and become someone's best friend. She does well with the farrier and has been worked with in different areas since birth. She is not fearful of new experiences..We have put shipping boots, surcingles and saddle pads on her with no reaction. She is ready to be broke to ride and is a blank canvas. Everyone at the rescue loves Lacie. She has a gorgeous head and kind eyes. Because she was born at the rescue she is not a typical rescue horse. Since her history began with us we know that she has been a happy healthy horse all of her life. Therefore, certain modifications can be made with her adoption. Unlike other rescues, she will be allowed to have offspring, if an adopter chooses to have her bred. She has excellent qualities to pass on. Adoption fee-$1000

White Sox

White Sox is an 11-13 year old Arabian gelding. He is approx. 15 hands.
He was green and unfamiliar with being handled when we brought him to the rescue. We made tremendous progress with him at the rescue and he easily became a very loving, attention seeking, big baby. Ricky Peeden , a professional trainer from The Unbroken Grounds Equestrian Training Center, Sawansboro, N.C. took him in for training as a donation to the rescue for 7 months and worked with him on a daily basis, teaching him many things. He took Sox on many 3-4 hour trailrides in the Croatan and even on the beach. Ricky will gladly give training tips.As an Arabian, Sox does not tire easily and would therefore make a great endurance prospect. Sox needs an experienced rider who can reinforce his training.
He is currently being ridden by dedicated volunteers at the rescue and is doing well. Sox has such a loving disposition and would easily attach to that one person who would care for him. He just needs someone to give him a chance to show his loyalty. He is up to date on all vaccinations. Adoption fee-$300.

Jack

Jack is a a beautiful Thoroughbred/Cross gelding. He is between 6-8 years of age.
Can be ridden Western and English, slender and tall.He is 15.3-16 hands. Jack is restricted from jumping due to conformation.
Loves attention. Would recommend him for a rider with experience just because of his age. He might take advantage of a beginner Jack needs work with ground manners.

Seems comfortable in arena, does not seem to have experience on trails.Great canter/lope.Knows lounging drills.Very flexible/Dressage prospect. Jack needs someone who cares enough to work with him to fully realize his potential. It is so unfair to have expectations from horses, yet not take the time to teach. He definitely has been worked with in many areas, and many areas have been skipped. He needs someone willing to invest the time to fill in the blanks so that he can reach his potential. Jack, like all horses wants to be loved. Adoption fee $300.
