2nd Annual Sleigh Ride Dec 2007
We will be holding our 2nd annual horse -drawn Sleigh Ride fundraiser again this year on December 15, 2007 This year's event will be bigger and better. We had a wonderful response last year and we are making plans to add many additional things this year as well as an extended sleigh ride.
Several of our favorite area resturants will be providing their signature soups and chowders for sampling and purchase. We will have horse rides, face painting, crafts for kids, and a moonwalker jumping house. We will have a silent auction and again a raffle for the FurReal Friends Butterscotch Pony. We will be open from 10-5. Come join us for the fun and support our mission to rescue horses.

Easter Fundraiser
Come and Join us at the barn for an old-fashioned Easter celebration.
March 15 from 10am-2pm.
We will have games, horse rides, the Easter Bunny, an egg hunt, and cupcake walk
We would love to share our rescues stories with you and tell you more about our mission.
We will have hot dogs, drinks, and baked goods as well.
Admission is $10 for children.The children can participate in 5 different activities of their choice for the admission price and also purchase more tickets at $1 each to participate in more activities. Parents admission is free.

Beacon was ready for the holidays and loved the attention he received at the Sleigh Ride.
The Sleigh Ride was a great success and we appreciate the support that the rescue received from the community in our efforts to save horses. Volunteers, you were AWESOME on this day. Thanks so much for all that you do for the horses. We could not have been successful without you.
A Very Special Heart's Desire Thank You
One remarkable lesson I have learned during this journey to save horses, is that there are so many heroes that cross our paths. These heroes are people who give of themselves,........ straight from the heart,........ to support the needs of others.These people have many more important things going on in their own lives, yet they drop what they are doing and offer their hand, because they have "HEART". Our heoroes on this day were Tom and David Stallings and their family,of David Stallings Farrier Service, who came a great distance, physically, mentally and spiritually, to provide the sleigh, the wonderful horse, Clyde to pull it, and their own service to drive the horse and sleigh, at a time when they were experiencing a loss in their own family. I cannot express my appreciation adequately to these wonderful men who gave of themselves to support our cause.It was a gesture too profound for words. They are not only great guys with big hearts, they are great farriers who take care of our rescues with a wealth of knowledge and kindness.The "Heart of A Horse Heroes" on this day were Tom and David Stallings and family.
